about

Three songs we recorded September 2011. I want you to help me try to understand how a whole culture dreams all the same dream. Asleep. Down. Drag me down. Feeding false needs. A man said I am a dream, let's start a war to stem our beliefs. You bought a house, and a tv. Pantomimes with broken hearts. Will we ever see us as we are? Where Scales Mean Everything. We're Holding our own but we want a lot more. I've watched you crawl away from all your youth. Your body was a temple, now its gone. Work hard, so hard that you break. Under the gold-rimmed sky I slowly lose what is mine. The pendulum is at a quarter turn. Well aquainted with lust. It's never something you'll reach, it's only something you'll fight. I've got nothing left to give away, but I cant bare to leave. I have the wit enough to cover my eyes, and pause until I can breathe. Leave me. Leave me while I sleep.
